1 day post fundoplication and got high sugar levels

Hi all
I just come out today and had my operation yesterday for fundoplication
I ate at 630pm and felt really spaced so checked my sugar levels and they went up to 11mml
But went down to normal levels after a couple of hours. As anyone experienced this straight after fundoplication or as the surgeon damaged my vagus nerve. Im hoping it's temporary. Can anyone help me im so worried

He said he has not heard of this but I've never been diabetic or anything. I know he as damaged the nerve because im totally spaced out all the time. Im really lost with it all and don't know what to do about it. He won't see me for 6 weeks
