Hi Maria2016
I have been diagnosed with non-acid reflux and I suffer from LPR. My first pH test, before the Nissen fundoplication, showed 48 reflux events (11 acidic, 37 non acid). After the surgery I still had symptoms and my doctor asked for another pH study: this time I had only 10 reflux events - all of them were non-acidic (pH between 4 and 7). Most of people who suffer from LPR do not have acidic reflux, but rather it is caused by pepsin that refluxes all the way back to the throat, adheres for the mucosa and causes irritation. Anything acidic you eat will activate pepsin. The best thing you can do is to change your diet to get rid of anything that is acidic. You can find some more information about the non-acid diet here:

You really have to stick to it and make no concessions. Only one slip can bring everything down again. Also - try to eat very small portions. Reflux mainly happens due to gastric distention caused by too much volume of liquids/solids in the stomach.
Thank you for your reply and I am sorry that you are going through this tough condition.
Comparing my results to yours, I wonder how I am still alive. According to my impedance test last August I had 222 events of weakly acid reflux...This is an extremely huge number and the paradox is that my doctor told me that I shouldn't have any symptoms. My manometry and barium was normal without pathological findings. Normal demester normal phmetry.
How long do you suffer form LPR and how did your reflux begin? Did you take any antibiotics or other medications such as antidepressants?
In my case, my reflux started last June withing a week after finising a strong course of antibiotics and I have found many similar cases in forums when many people had their first bouts of reflux after strong doses of antibiotics.
I am desperate and depressed. I have seen an improvement but I want to become healthy again
Sorry for my nosy question do you remember how many liquid and mixes refluxes did you have in your impedance test?
Mary
