Hi guys, I haven't post for a while.
As per my last logs/posts/updates, I still had been experiencing severe bouts of acid in my larynx area, on/off for a few days pattern.
Fast forward, I now work long night shifts in a quite dangerous job. I have always been a'bad sleeper' as I'm quite a live wire and used OTC sleep aids like Nytol etc. Recently i decided to buy some 10mg valium online just to chill me out from aggressive incidents (some involving guns/knives etc) when I get in from work and go to sleep.
I have now found a correlation between patterns of using valium and cessation of reflux. I only ever use the valium for a 2wk period then switch to zopitan (purely a sleeping tablet) for 2wks and back again.
Now, after the first dose of valium my reflux is non-existent for the following 13days and upon cessation it will return with a vengeance within 2-3 days and I'm back to drinking Galvescon constantly everyday. I then return to valium and bang, reflux gone within a day!
I am by no means advocating black market self treatment, I myself am a very strong willed person and do not fall for addiction, as it's all in he head as far as I'm concerned plus I've a Honda Fireblade for proper serotonin/dopamine production
~Hope I haven't broken any rules re promoting potential addiction, but would genuinely like to know if anyone has had a similar experience? I do fully intend to discuss this with my GP as it is much too important to ignore as regards my quality of life, I feel suicidal when i am being riddled with reflux and literally am drinking 200ml Galvescon per day which leaves me feeling like a have a constant severe cold symptoms.
My surgeon has told me my next move is with ENT and that he has given me the maximal treatment via the Nissen, and has frankly stated I may have to live with it.
Again, I apologise profusely if I've broken forum rules, but feel this is vitally important to discuss.
*********PLEASE NOTE: I only take 10mgs pre bedtime, I am NOT using multiple doses per day, valium has a long half life in the system*********
