I have been struggling with respiratory infection, sore throat every day, bronchitis, regurgitations and spasms in my esophagus & stomach. After 3 scopes in 2 months my dr has recommended nissen redo. The wrap s sliding up into my diaphragm & my esophagus is down below my diaphragm (sometimes). I was floored because the first nissen was a result of chronic heartburn & all of the other classic gerd symptoms. I have scheduled the surgery for a month from now, I have one more test. Because I couldn't tolerate the manometry test she has ordered an esophageal emptying test. To further stress me out I had to have my vocal cords repaired before my first nissen. I am so nervous about the redo but am trying to get through it without further damage because I think it is the right thing to do. High blood pressure, lower back spasms, etc. I am especially worried about post op pain management because my ng tube pump didn't work so I was in a lot of pain with nausea that was not dealt with very well. On a lighter note I had not taken any gerd medication until the last 2-3 months.
