Rob:
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues post-surgery. Have you tried taking any anti-gas medications, such as simethicone? Your surgeon should have prescribed an anti-nausea medication, I take Zofran. I'm three years post-surgery and still have waves of nausea for no reason. It's something that I keep on me at all times. Have you resumed a normal diet? If you have, you might want to go back to a soft diet until after the symptoms have lessened. At six months, I still had issues with my diet and needed to be careful with what I ate and to continue to chew until almost a liquid form. There are foods that I continued to have problems with and I just eliminated them from my diet, because it was easier. It took me a full year until I felt like my "new" normal. Make a list of your symptoms and concerns for your surgeon's follow-up appointment, so you don't forget anything.
Good Luck,
Sharon
