My advice would be to cut out the alcohol, carbonated beverages and caffeine, including chocolate. It might be helpful to cut acidic foods like citrus and tomato based products. Keeping a food journal to try and pinpoint your trigger foods is also helpful. You want to give the medication every chance to be successful. Make sure you are taking the medication correctly, take the pill and wait about a 1.2 hour and then eat. PPIs can take 2-3 weeks to be effective, but every person is different.
