4 days off nexium and no rebound

Hi all I made a post about two weeks ago about suffering from the side effects from nexium and that I was gonna slowly taper off , I was on 40mg for about seven months for gastritis and the went on to 20mg for 8 days . I then made the choice that I wanted off this drug and didn't want to drag out the process of getting off , so I switched from 20 mg of nexium to one 150mg Zantac at night it has been four days and my stomach feels better than ever and still haven't had any rebound am I lucky or is it the calm before the storm?

That's great that you haven't had any rebound acidity since stopping the Nexium. I hope this continues.

I'm in the process of weaning off of the Pantoprazole (PPI) I take myself. I take Pepcid at bedtime for my acid reflux.

When I lowered my Pantoprazole last (from 40mg to 20mg), I had rebound for about 3 or 4 days, but it settled over time. I've noticed the past few days that I've had reduced acid reflux.
