I had surgery for pyloric stenosis as an infant. The past two years I have dealt with severe GERD along with abdominal pain. I'm constantly burping up food and drink regardless of what I consume. I have been referred to the University of Michigan gastro Department and after many tests and scopes the only thing that has came back are elevated liver enzymes and a positive smooth muscle antibody and I have a fatty liver. They tell me the smooth muscle antibody can be a false positive because it's a low titer but they have said that fatty liver would not cause the abdominal pain. Does anyone know if adhesions from my pyloric stenosis surgery can be causing these problems and could a narrowing because of them be missed on a CT scan? There isnt much info on the web for adhesions relating to PS surgery. PS the fatty liver is no doubt it result of my lifestyle and I'm not so much concerned about that cuz I know what I need to do to correct it.
