GERD and cancer

I have been having really bad GERD. I've never been checked out by a doctor for this, but it's been getting to the point where I can't sleep at night and can't swallow. I'm wondering if this could have turned cancerous. Are there certain symptoms/indicators to know when it has become cancerous?

There is no way we can tell you whether your symptoms are related to cancer, although the risk is very small. Please don't use Dr. Google, there is a lot of misinformation on the internet. At this point, you need to be seen by a doctor.
