PPI confusion

Hi All,

So I'm a bit confused with the directions for taking Protonix (Pantoprazole). My pharmacist said that the dose should be taken a half-hour before breakfast and dinner, yet I see up in the posted document in our forum that the doctor they cited says that PPIs must be taken at least SIXTY minutes before breakfast.

I'm confused; can anyone help? Thanks!

I would do as the pharmacist suggested. Drs all have different protocols when it comes to medication. Quite honestly, when it comes to medications, I call my pharmacist because he has far more education about different medications than my primary care dr..
