I did get barium swallow results and it didn't sound TOO tragic.
Comments from the Doctor's Office
Thre is a small hiatal hernia pushing through the surgical region. You have some GERD due to this. The tablet did not get stuck. Lets see what the CT shows.
Study Result
Impression
IMPRESSION: Partial disruption of fundoplication with recurrent herniation and
gastroesophageal reflux.
Narrative
EXAM: XR BA SWALLOW ESOPHOGRAM
INDICATION: worsening reflux, hiatal hernia. History of Nissen fundoplication.
COMPARISON: None.
Fluoroscopy dose (air kerma): 54.77 mGy
FINDINGS: A biphasic examination was performed. The patient swallowed
effervescent granules followed by barium without difficulty.
The preliminary radiograph of the chest is unremarkable.
The esophagus shows partial disruption of the wrap and recurrent small hiatal
herniation. The esophagus otherwise is normal in caliber and contour with no
mass, constricting lesion or mucosal abnormality.
There is a gastroesophageal reflux. The esophageal motility is normal.
The patient swallowed a 12 mm barium tablet which passed through to the stomach
without difficulty.

The radiologist also said the wrap is higher than it normally is from what he has seen. I wonder if that is due to how much weight I have gained? I wonder how bad the partial disruption is?
Thanks,
