Hey guys,
I just got back my Bravo test. I have a Demeester score of 36.7 with a correlation of symptoms and reflux symptoms at 50% and 70%.
What were your Demeester scores? I understand I am above normal but just how severe is this compared with others who have undergone surgery? I don't want to be pressured into doing such a major surgery if my GERD (though above normal) isn't that severe. Yes - I have symptoms of GERD but they are manageable if it means I can prevent a major surgery. (a little couch, a little rattling in the lungs, a little heartburn at night and after meals, a little regurgitation - nuisances really)
I'm only a 31 year old female and have had 6 surgeries already in life. I'd hate to have to undergo another one if not necessary - especially such a new one with such limited long term studies. I'm the type of person where when something can go wrong - it will. And I also suffer from Fibromyalgia and have a very sensitive nerve system where recoveries from procedures are much more painful for me than your average Joe.
So - what were your Demeester scores - and what was your experience with the LINX procedure a positive one or a negative one?
Thanks in advance!
