I would really like some help. I was in the bus coming back from NJ and it was a bumpy ride. I was lying down on 2 seats. I felt like my insides vibrated Everytime there was a pot hole.

I was sitting down/ lying for almost 10 hours.

Since then, Im getting this gassy feeling in my wrap. Area. I feel like there is a alot of trapped air in my sternum area and since I can't burp it just stays there.

Is this normal , it's so uncomfortable. Could my wrap have come undone.

It's highly unlikely that the wrap has come undone from a bumpy bus ride. It's more likely that it's trapped gas, which is very common after NF. Try taking some anti-gas medication (simethicone), and watch what you eat over the next couple of days.

I just took some gas x and feel a little better. My pain is exactly at the wrap site. Every couple a days there's some pain somewhere that completely freaks out. Some days it's the chest, then it's back, then it's ibs and now the wrap site hurts. Is this common . It's.been 7 weeks already.

Btw I asked my surgeon about the burning stomach and he said it's visceral hypersensitivity and that I should take Zyrtec for it. It does help somewhat. Thank you Sharon for all your help

yes very common, and understand the anxiety it causes. it takes a good three months, for your insides to start to heal, and by 6 months, the search for the new normal, begins. these wraps if done right, can withstand a lot. you are very early in the recovery process. hang in there, try not to worry, and take it easy.

Thank you aero. It's this gas trapped feeling right below my sternum and I feel like burping so bad so that's why it makes me wonder whether the wrap is still intact. I've had gas x but the feeling is not seeming to go away.

more than likely. even after 3 years post op, I still experience that, and it can be troublesome. drinking water helps to move things along. it does get better.

One last question. I visited my surgeon in the US and complained about my stomach burning after a meal. He did an endoscopy. Everything was good, the wrap was in place and he even looked at my stomach. My lpr is better too. Throat has healed by about 50 percent. The only issue is that my stomach still burns. He said it's visceral hypersensitivity and is common. Can anyone shed some light here. I can feel the linings in my stomach and get so worried. Has anyone experienced this? I'm taking Zyrtec but it hardly helps.
