During the healing process most people do lose weight - although most gain it back when they transition to a normal diet. Things that worked well for me were scrambled or poached eggs, oatmeal, cream of wheat. Check out the UPMC Post-Nissen diet. Pancakes and waffles seemed to stick for me, so be careful. Just make sure you still continue to chew foods to almost a liquid consistency, sometimes we forget when we start to eat normal foods. Honestly, I would just focus on the healing process and not about the weight aspect. And don't be too concerned about minor setbacks along the way. Once you are feeling 100% back to normal, then you can concentrate on losing weight.
Congratulations!
