Im about 3 months and a bit into my recovery. things have been going relatively smoothly, I was able to eat most things, as long as I chew chew chew, and drink warm/hot water along side the meal.
This has suddenly and dramatically changed. I went from this, to having trouble swallowing my own saliva in the matter of hours. Let me explain..
I was eating a meal, as normal, with my family, and I thought it no harm to try a piece of steak, a small piece, and wash it down with warm water, well wowsers, it got stuck with a vengeance, and even provoked the hair ball effect, I ended up regurgitating lots of time, and felt some force on my sternum, it wasn't vomit, it didn't come from below the wrap, but it was a strain.
I thought it had gone, and tried eating more, that got stuck, and did the same, and it has been like this for the past 24 hours, im getting scared and worried. When I drink water, the small gurgle it made before, is now a big one, and gives me hiccups, I cant eat anything without it getting stuck, jello, week 1 type food, just doesn't go down.
Do you think these are symptoms of a slipped wrap? or could it be that bit of meat is still stuck?
Im seeing how it goes today, but if its like this in the morning, im talking to my doc for sure, I just wanted to ask if anyone has ever had this experience before?
Thanks!
