Two weeks ago today I had the Paraesophageal hernia repair with mesh procedure done. I went back to the surgeon yesterday for my follow up visit and she said everything looked good. I can now start incorporating ground meat into my diet...yeah! Today we had spaghetti and it was wonderful. I find that I do very well if I chew, chew and chew and cut everything up really well. I also had really bad acid reflux but haven’t had it and no longer take any meds for it. My doctor also told me what activities I couldn’t do...basically no heavy house cleaning for now and to use my judgment before doing anything else....will this hurt me, can I lift this, etc. Who else has recently had this procedure and how are you progressing in your healing?
