Quick update. I've had a really bad tooth ache and it's really knocked me about even since I got back from having the tooth removed, I've been sick not a lot but enough and now I'm worried about the wrap.

Are you vomiting? Do you have any anti-nausea medication? I really don't think you need to worry about the wrap. I had really bad food poisoning a year ago, and I was fine.

I vomited about five time's mainly water because I've not eaten properly in two day's. I don't but I Will get some for future preference. I actually turned to the side and let it flow rather than strain. I'm feelings much better today and slept for twelve hours.

How was your operation? Everything healing well for you smile

Make sure you have the anti-nausea pills (Zofran), available at all times. The surgery went very well, needed to have mesh repair, and I have some retained fluid that has to be removed from my abdomen (which is done in the office). Even though it was done outpatient, I still needed to have a breathing tube and be catheterized. He even provided me with photos from the surgery.Thanks for asking!

I'm glad things are going well for you after the operation.

I've had a thick potato wedgie stuck earlier and had to drink some water to make it go down and it took a while to go down but I've had slight chest discomfort since felt like reflux but could be irritated where it was stuck.

Just remember to continue to chew to a liquid consistency, sometimes we forget as we advance in our recovery. And yes, if something does get stuck it will cause irritation in the wrap area.

It's almost been a month since my last post and I had an episode with that wedgie and touchwood, I've had no aches or things getting stuck or symptoms that felt like reflux.

How are you a month after your other operation.

I'm doing great, it's all due to having a great surgeon. When I called and said I was experiencing some discomfort, he saw me within 2 days.

I'm glad you're doing well and feeling better.

I have been and felt great for a few months now without hardly any hiccup(apart from vomiting with illness In July) swallowing is still brilliant, I do feel healthy and fit, I've managed to lose twelve pounds overall.

It's just on Saturday, I had my usual scrambled Egg on toast with a slice of Bacon on the top which was going down fine and then I had a tough bit of bacon and It got stuck(through rushing) and I had to bring it up(vomit) as it wouldn't go down even with a sip of water and since then I've been getting mild chest discomfort on and off that kind of felt like reflux but I've had all the tests)including the esophageal manoptry and my wrap is tight.

Is it possible because the wrap is my stomach pulled up that once again (like with the tough sharp wedgie) that it's caused a bout of irritation to the site. I'm just curious will the irritation subside after a few days?

I sounds like you have irritated the wrap, and the discomfort will subside in a few days. Try and stay away from vomiting and take your anti-nausea medication.
