My doctor is recommending the fundoplication. I asked about
the Linx because I have read that the recovery is better. The doctor admitted that he does not do the procedure. He said it is too new and the titanium ring can corrode from the gastric juices. Has anyone heard of that? He did say that his partner has done the procedure. I have set up an appointment with that doctor to discuss the Linx procedure. I have also set up an appointment with another doctor in the city who apparently does the procedure on a regular basis. Any input about
both procedures would be appreciated.

Janemarie:
I had the fundoplication, and it was a 100% success. I can't give you any input about
the Linx, other than to check and make sure that your insurance carrier covers the cost.
