Would you have HIDA Scan if blood work is normal?

Please respond those who have had this Scan please. Do I go through this when lipase and alymase, liver enzymes are all normal?
I have bad acid reflux, but right now slippery elm is helping so much!! I was having burning of my guts, but maybe it was my colon cuz I have UC, ulcers in my colon.
Awful burps of air and it would feel like fire in my throat. Sometimes it would feel like food getting stuck going down.
If blood work is normal could there still be a gallbladder problem?
or is it all GERD.
I tried PPI no luck at all, so I thought maybe too low of stomach acid and added digestive enzymes with HCL, no luck there either.
Slippery elm has been a wonderful supplement.
I once had a small hiatal hernia but they never did anything about it, I’m talking like 15 years ago I was told I had one.
Please let me know if you would go through the scan please its scheduled for tomorrow .

I had normal blood tests too when I had the Hida Scan, so the labs have no bearing on this test. The purpose of the test is to check to see if your gallbladder is functioning properly. As it turned out mine was way out of range & I ended up having it taken out. It's a harmless test, I wouldn't cancel it.

As Susie wrote, blood work won't show gallbladder issues. If that's what your doctor suggests, then you should have it done. Most insurance companies require that you have an ultrasound before they will approve the HIDA scan. In fact, I'm taking my brother to have his gallbladder taken out tomorrow.

When was the last time that you had an endoscopy and/or barium swallow?
