Like most of you my journey to this first post has been a long struggle. The "experts" seem not to be at the doctor's office but online, Naturopaths, and in forums like these. Been reading lots of good info here from the people who've lived it.
My question today is... When is the best time to begin supplementing with Betaine HCL? I know all the benefits of proper/low stomach ph and hoping I can fix my GERD. Ive only been on Nexium for 5 months, the last month has been a taper-off month. Been off completely now for 4 days with surprisingly minimal heartburn (sporadic).
Should I let the rebound stage pass before adding Betaine to the equation? Should I start now? What worked for you?
