This is my first time joining a support forum so please excuse any errors on my part.
I've had reflux since I was a child. I've had 3 nissen at age 6, 12, and 15. My first two were laproscopic and the last one was open. My wraps would come undone and required revision. On my last surgery, the were unable to do much because all of the scar tissue. It's been almost 15 years since then. Also after this surgery I developed gastroparesis.
I still struggle with GERD. I wasn't always being treated by a GI until the last few years. I've had every diagnostic test and everything came back as abnormal until this last one.
Last week I had a ph probe and manometry. I expected abnormal results from both. However today, my results show normal acid levels and abnormal manometry.
I'm so confused by the acid result. I feel heartburn even with medication. I can feel it in my chest and oddly my ears. I vomit straight acid at times. I cough with no symptoms of a cold/flu.
Has anyone experienced this as well?
