To the original poster, I have these identical symptoms and for me YES they were due to low stomach acid, enzymes etc., and just so you know you shouldn't really drink apple cider unless it's extremely diluted, or mixed with an oil like olive oil in a homemade Italian dressing which will help protect your esophagus. My son actually got rid of his wart with apple cider vinegar and it burned a hole straight down to the fat layer! It is definitely an acid and it will burn your esophagus and cause it to be inflamed and sore. I did the same thing, and found relief by taking RX Carafate dissolved in water until it recovered. I became allergic to pepcid thank goodness, because that would have made me much much worse by killing off whatever little acid I had left. I am getting better by taking digestive enzymes with betaine HCL, prebiotics and probiotics. Also, licorice reduces stomach acid, and if you are suffering from low acid will make things worse. I also requested being tested for h pylori both by stool and by an endoscopy soon. I do have a history of severe candida overgrowth due to taking antibiotics for 5 years from contracting Lyme disease back in 1989. I have been down this low 2x before, and I overcame it both times through diet and Nystatin or Diflucan. Was fine for about
10 years afterwards each time, so you can get better but it takes some time. I'm not saying you have candida, but if you have low stomach acid you are at high risk for it and other infections like H pylori. I have a hx, and Candida is a very opportunistic infection and tends to find its way back plus I was eating a ton of sugar and under a lot of stress, so I am not surprised I am back with problems again. This time, first symptom was pancreatitis, and I also have an inflamed gallbladder. It's because these organs had to work twice as hard to digest the food I was eating because my stomach was not doing its job. It started off as heartburn and a ball in the throat feeling like my thyroid was enlarged back in 2011 and now in 2021 has ended with pancreas and gallbladder pain. I knew it started with heartburn though, so I focused on this part of my body first, because if you have healthy stomach acid you have healthy 1st phase digestion, and if you have a healthy stomach, 99% of the time all of the other organs involved in digestion also function well. Unless you have a damaged liver for some reason, or gallstones, bile sludge cancer etc., which I don't. Now that I've been taking digestive enzymes etc., my gallbladder inflammation and pancreas pain has disappeared, and the numbers on my blood tests are going down. I also asked to have my thyroid checked for antibodies and it came back positive. The doctors I have seen have literally done nothing for me, but written down my symptoms and referred me off to specialists. I read online that low stomach acid is often hidden hypothyroid problem, or autoimmune response. For me, this made great sense, because I have textbook symptoms of low thyroid. The most help I got online was watching Dr. Berg on YouTube. Although I don't do keto I am doing the AIP diet and it is helping. Along with taking anything that is a natural yeast fighter, because I don't really want to go back on Diflucan if I don't have to, and of course I cut out sugar or limit it to almost nothing. I'm allergic pretty much to everything I try to take, except for the enzymes which has been a miracle! I got lucky! The brand I use is GoBioTix Super Enzymes. If you do try these and they help you too, please let me know. One thing for certain, you must change your diet and your attitude about
how you handle stress. I make sure I sit outside at least 20 minutes a day and get vitamin D, and I meditate while doing so. Every little thing you do towards healing will help your recovery go faster. Eat bitters to to support bile. Support your liver with the necessary nutrients and supplements. Eat only organic olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil or avocado oil for your pancreas health. The knee bone is connected to the thigh bone. All of them need to be very strong and functioning well, for you to digest well. Good luck.
