Hi all,
I'm feeling like poop again. I tried to come down on my beta blocker a couple weeks ago, and my heart went crazy......AND my upper GI tract went bonkers.......Severe pressure, endless burping, etc. I went right back up on my beta blocker, but my upper GI tract is still going crazy.....and my heart is still beating too fast. I am convinced that it's not an intrinsic problem with my heart (have had lots of tests) but that it's getting pushed on by my stomach. I get this set of problems intermittantly..........when all of a sudden I am soooo bloated, burping constantly, and my heart is also going fast (90-100's) and pounding hard.....especially when I lie down. It especially happens if I eat before I lie down (yes, I know that's a real no-no!)
Question: I am very short waisted. I'm like a head on legs. lol! But seriously......if a person doesn't have enough space inside them for all their organs, wouldn't they naturally have alot more pressure put on them, and maybe cause GERD more than in a person with lots of space in there? And being overweight makes it alot worse.
Since these episodes are so intermittant, it also makes me wonder if this is how a sliding hiatal hernia would present also. This intense bloating and pressure usually occurs after I've done some leaning-over work.......which makes me wonder if it could be a sliding hernia. Any one out there have a sliding one, and get intermittant symptoms like this?
Thanks for your help!
P.S. Sorry if I tend to have weird questions!
