I have found a place in town that sells the DGL licorice so plan on picking some up within the next day or two. I am currently taking Prilosec but am afraid to go off it. Should I continue to take the Prilosec when I start taking the licorice?

I can't tell you what to do Tummytuck. I was taking Prilosec and I just took myself off of it after one month, since my symptoms totally returned.

You will never get a medical doctor to condone usage of the DGL, all they do is push drugs. Obviously, some people need certain drugs and it all depends on your test results or if you have other health problems.

The only reason that I tried the DGL and went off the prilosec was when I read that Dr. Weil (a US medical doctor - Harvard trained who believes in natural supplement along with regular drugs) actually recommended using it. Read the following:
