RandyDandy,
I couldn't have said it better myself, THANK YOU! I compliment you on your incredible breakthru and I'm so happy that I was able to influence you even a little and then you did all the hard work to heal YOURSELF.
I don't know why PAIN and potential surgeries (that might not even work) can't motivate people to change everything they've been doing so far.
I did write in previous postings that I understand many of you have so many other problems (since you post them) and everyone has their own reasons for having GERD. Of course everyone is different and has arrived at this horrible illness in different ways. I don't know your personal medical histories and I'm not a doctor nor am I in the medical field. I don't know who any of you are, your ages, how troubled you are, how many other infirmities you have. All I know is what happened to me and how I resolved it.
I also agree with everything Randy has written, it's sad but true that there have to be some of you out there that are not willing to do the hard work. Just complaining, complaining all the time.
I was very excited to share my good results with all of you but I also posted very clearly that it took ALOT OF WORK on my part to get healthy. I gave up everything! I ate what I posted below for one month! I did not complain on this site about it, I just did it. It was an experiment, along with the DGL and sleeping only on the left side. I was my own guinea pig and when it worked I happily shared it with all of you. Of course the food was boring after a while! Of course, I did not go out to eat with friends or family! I made it my mission to heal and that was it!
By the way, I wish that any new posters would research back thru this site to see if there are answers to their questions. I think this site right now covers just about everything there is to be said about GERD. That was what I meant about me not having to post anything else. Basically it's all here. All everyone has to do is the WORK. I really don't know how old any of you are but sometimes it's been like listening to little children!
Friendlygal, it's ok I just feel bad for you that you are still suffering and searching for a healthy life. I would suggest to you though - at least for a week - to try to eat just COOKED vegetables (spinach, kale, collard greens, the alkaline soup I posted, carrots), alot of tofu for protein, quinoa grains (you cook them) and sweet potatoes (even at every meal if you want to keep your weight up) and drink alot of water. Take a good multi vitamin and some calcium citrate with magnesium(only citrate form or calcium is non constipating, if you take calcium carbonate it's extremely constipating). Maybe it might take you longer than one week but you can't tell me that you will be constipated on that kind of food intake. If you are, then there are other problems with your intestines that have to be addressed.
I certainly don't want to argue with any of you but I really don't have much patience, and I have been patient, for people that constantly complain over and over and don't do something really dramatic to change what is harming them.
And by the way, I still eat as alkaline as possible. I don't drink alcohol, I try to eat less sugar, I don't drink carbonated anything (I used to love Pellegrino mineral water). I will never go back to having the horrible symptoms that I had. It really saddens me to hear all of you in pain, I know what it's like. BUT pain should make you change so DO IT.
As Randy said, the very least you can all do is try the DGL and sleeping on your left side. Even if you have other issues to deal with, it may change your life for the better.
I wish you all good health
