What is it?-seems in my small research it's not listed as a drug for GERD.

i think you are thinking of protonix!!
i was on it for about 10 weeks , it seemed to have helped me...not sure if it is better though.

protonix is a drug primarily treats ulcers. It can also be used to treat other digestive ailments. The drug choice of the people I know is Nexium. I only take zantac 150mg 2 times a day. I tried Prilosec but had weird side effect that wasn't even listed. I went through several different ones before finding on that worked for me. Main thing is diet change. Know the foods and beverages to stay away from. Don't eat 3 hrs before going to bed. Hope this helped. Oh and to don't wear tight fitting pants. msboo

sorry I didn't get back in here and it is protoxin
I have been taking it for almost a month and it has helped some, I think the other med did better. Its over the counter now, I may ask the Dr to go back to it.





yea, change of diet seems to have helped most of all.... does sodas hurt your stomach? I used to drink diet coke/pepsi and they really hurt my stomach now?



not eating 3 hrs b4 bed time, Oh Yea! definitly. thats is soooooo gross, wake up and that acid in my throat. Ohh YUK

I'm not sure on the sodas. I love sodas. I'm a coke fan all the way. I have just recently switched to caffine free and also switched to decaf tea.I know what your talking about the cobra spitting thing. I've woken up many nights saying dang why did i eat that.LOL
