does anyone know how much EsophyX operation costs ??

This is my 8th day after Esophyx, and I am still having left shoulder pain and abdominal cramping. The shoulder pain is worse. It was assumed from phrenic nerve irritation, and should resolve in a week, but mine haven't...don't know why. The recovery is not as easy as I have thought.  I am still on meds right now, same dose as before exophyx. When I try to cut the dose in half right after the procedure, I still get heartbrun. The doc told me to wait for a few weeks before I can say for sure if I still have reflux.  He is confident that the new valve he repaired is strong. I hope he is right. I will find out in 1 week whether this procedure works.  I took 12 days off work.  There is no way I can go back to work in less than 1 week.  

Where are you getting your procedure done. How bad was your reflux? Do you have hiatal hernia? How long have you had it. Are you recommended for Nissen fundoplication?

I am 2 1/2 weeks to post esophyX, the shoulder pain has resolved but boy, the reflux returns and is worse then pre surgery, even my pre surgery meds is not controlling the symptom anymore.  Yesterday and today, I got pretty bad heartburn, but my doctor doesn't want to do anything until 1 month has past. He will not even let me take nexium. He only put me on pepcid 40mg bid.  My reflux is worse when I sit down or lie down. Standing up makes me feel better.  But I can't stand up all day. I don't think this surgery is working at all. Each day I get more and more heartburn. If anything it makes it worse as of right now. Hopefully things change after a month. I suggest you to talk to more people about it and please let me know if somebody has successful outcome.
