9 yr old girl w/nail , scalp and under eye

Hi
My 9 year old daughter starting to have flaky patches on the bottom part of her scalp along with ridged nails and now red and flakes under her eyes

I am assuming it's psoriasis because has severe plaque psoriasis but he didn't get it until his teen years

Any thoughts ...?

Thedermatologist appointment is a week away
But nervous for her

Hello & welcome to the forum. I am wondering is it psoriasis or eczema? Of course there is no actual way of knowing until she see's the dermatologist in a week. For her sake I sure hope this turns out to not be it.

My outbreaks these days tend to run more with high stress. I can count on an outbreak when I get stressed. Good luck with the appt next week.

My husband is anxious too bc he has severe psoriasis si going to try and get seen earlier

I am experiencing similar symptoms and I was diagnosed with eczema.

So went to the Dr and my daughter has been officially diagnosed with psoriasis ...she was prescribed special shampoo. Scalp cream, cream for nails and her eyes

The steroid cream helped for my face, but not the scalp, witch is now spreading. It started out a one little scab about 9 years ago, now its on most of the top of my head. I'm going to have to get some of that shampoo.

If your skin thins from the steroid cream, is there anyway to repair it?
