Hello.
I want to share my story with sincere hope that it will help you.
I have had moderate to severe psoriasis of the hands and feet for over 4 years. All fingers and feet Constantly splitting and bleeding. I even had to go to the emergency room because I could not walk more than 10 feet without. I have tried everything. Essence oils, Epsom salt soaks, clobetesol, hot towel wraps, steroids, kenalog, vitamin d creams, Saran Wrap, gloves, hydrophilic dressings on and on........
10 days ago after reading a post "My psoriasis is gone"
I decided to try vitamin D3....EXCEPT I DID SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
in ADDITION to taking vitamin D3 (4 capsules a day, 1,000 per capsule) with my meals, I APPLIED vitamin D DIRECTLY to my skin. I used a lot of liquid and my skin SOAKED IT UP.
I broke the capsules up and squeezed the liquid onto my feet and fingers. my skin immediately began to heal. Some areas of the dead skin and thick skin began to peel off within a day WITHOUT tearing the underlying skin and for the first time in over 4 years I am beginning to see my healthy pink skin.
Now there are still areas with deep fissures and cracks in my feet but those areas are beginning to heal as well.
I apply a hydrocolloid bandaid (Repara) over the cracks ( just enough to cover the cracks) and leave it on for 3-5 days. Covering the cracks accomplishes two things 1)it allow the wound to heal from inside 2) it prevents pain and I am able to walk. I have been doing this for years but once healed they would reopen and crack again.
Now, since applying the Vitamin D3 fluid (from the broken capsules) Within 10 days my hands are 99% healed, my fingernails are not turned up, no fissures or cracks, no pain, no embarrassment or hiding my hands.
My feet are well under way on the healing path. The reason they are not completely healed at the time of this post is due to the fact they the skin WAS much thicker and fissures and cracks much deeper.
I am going to the beach today for the first time in 4 years and have no visible signs of psoriasis except 1 big toe(which looks 80% better) and some areas on the bottom of my feet.
I wish I knew how to post before during and after pictures because you would be as amazed as I am.
I also stopped taking my Atorvastatin 20mg because I read somewhere where that it could possibly cause drug induced psoriasis.
So.......I honestly hope that this will help someone as it has helped me and has given me a new life.
Footnote......my dermatologist was going to start me on Humeria next week which I had already decided against. (Just too much uncertainty long term).
I realize everyone is different and responds differently to medications.
BEST OF LUCK AND DONT GIVE UP..NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER!
Who would have thought a little tiny liquid vitamin D3 would make such a monumental difference in my Quality of life. Thank God for natures miracles.
