This is by no means a cure, nor am I a Doctor. First of all, I am very new and working my way through the threads one by one. I am covered head to toe in scaly, itching psoriasis. Some days I just want to not get out of bed but I always do...
I just wanted to suggest this. I have had this disease since 1985 and it first started on my face. Unfortunately, I was a stewardess for 20 years and this affliction did not bode well with the supervisors.
After three years of constant prednisone and steroid shots, my joints started to deteriorate.
Anyway, it came back full force 2 years ago. I have tried all the ointments (thin the skin), steroids (make me crazy and it comes back worse). Now until August when I get Medicare, I am on methotrexate and folic acid along with Zoloft and thyroid meds. I am so frustrated because you really have to be your own advocate with Doctors and Pharmacies these days.
The point of this post was to let Judith know that I have been soaking in Dead Sea Salt for about two weeks. It gives me 20 minutes of relief. I ordered it on Amazon. This is not a cure by any means just wanted to reach out and let you know I feel your pain. Try it if you wish.. I am not a Doctor and I am not cured by any means. You have to make sure you are completely dry (I use a hair blower on low) and then apply a cream not an ointment. This is just my humble opinion and I am still searching.
Best of luck! Best thing I ever came across was this forum.
