Psoriatic Arthritis question

There is a good possibilty that this could be related. Where is the pain located to? Is it in the shoulder area or the rib cage? Both of these places are prone to arthritis, and since you already have PA, it could be affecting these joints now.

One other thing to look at with this, is if it is in your rib cage, it could be totally unrelated to the bra and PA and could be something called costochondritis. Costochondritis (kos-toe-KHON-dri-tis) is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). It causes sharp pain in the costosternal joint — where your ribs and breastbone are joined by rubbery cartilage. Pain caused by costochondritis may mimic that of a heart attack or other heart conditions.

Symptoms include:

* Pain and tenderness in the locations where your ribs attach to your breastbone (costosternal joints)
* Often sharp pain, though also dull and gnawing pain
* location often on left side of breastbone, but possible on either side of chest

Other costochondritis symptoms may include:

* Pain when taking deep breaths
* Pain when coughing
* Difficulty breathing

I have dealt with this pain on many occasions. My biggest trigger (according to my doctor) was the way that I was sitting. I was in turn causing stress and irritation to this area.

I sure understand about the bra pain! I've tried all types of bras and the front closing cotton ones seem to be bearable , at times. I have occassional rib pain when touching my lower left and right ribs where it starts to curve towards my back. Sometimes even the pressure from my breast on this area makes it hurt when not wearing a bra. I've had pancreatic surgery 5 years ago with the scar being across and near the ares of pain. It comes and goes...co not see a pattern or obvious cause.
