Hi I've had Psoriasis for 5 years now and have tried everything doctors have prescribed and while Stelara worked I was always getting sick. started my own research now and wanted to share this youtube story which I'm currently trying https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MejlvS3i5Y its not advertisement just want to see what people think about this kids story of how he so far cured his Psoriasis.
YES...! Thanks for reminding me of this EXCELLENT video! I am embarking on this program now myself!
I am in my 60s and have not had much psoriasis problem in my life until the past 10 years. My father had it covering 90% of his body when he was in his 50s and 60s though, so I knew about
what a difficult condition it could be. One thing my stepmother told me was that of all the things my father tried the ONLY thing that cleared up his psoriasis was cutting out ALL SUGAR. He never stuck with the program, though.
I love this video because it makes so much sense and he gives a good, clear and clean way do "do the program" in a VERY strict way for the first 6 weeks, and SOMEWHAT strict way for the second 6 weeks, and then you go from there. I KNOW this will work for me. The main reason I did not have problems with psoriasis in my 40s and early 50s is because I had during much of that time only allowed a nominal amount of sugar, bread or grains in my diet, almost never ate pork and much of the time was not a meat eater at all. When I did eat meat, 90% of the time it was "fresh" meat and not processed.
In the past few years I have gotten thoughtless about
my diet, allowing myself to get sucked into food for "sentimental reasons," from muffins to pies to whatever else. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. Sure, I can have a bit of that stuff but only if I KEEP it at "just a bit" and rarely.
I will not only being doing the diet suggested in Lamborghini's excellent video but will also be taking probiotics (to help the gut get back to the good bacteria balance) and some vitamin D3. In the first six weeks of the diet I will be eating only fresh (organic) meat, no pork, vegetables as he mentioned, but will also (which he did not address) have nuts (especially in the form of homemade nut milk made with almonds or pecans or other raw nuts), will use stevia if I MUST have some sweetener (it's totally allowed and safe and been used for centuries) and will also no doubt be having some Asian-style soups using miso, fish sauce and seaweed.
I will also (since it is winter) make tea I love that looks and tastes (vaguely) to me like black coffee: a brew of pau d'arco, cat's claw (una del gato) and chaga (medicinal mushroom). I might even try that whitened with the nutmilk and sweetened with stevia. I'll be also eating hummus. The video did not mention legumes (beans), but I'm going to assume they are okay for me. Hummus is a Mediterranean "dip" made with chickpeas (garbanzo beans), tahini (sesame butter), olive oil, garlic and a bit of cumin and red pepper flakes (or chipotle powder). You can use it as a dip for carrot and celery sticks or other veggies.
Some say that black coffee is bad for psoriasis. My guess is that is true for the ones that are not organic (as coffee fields are famous for using a huge pile of pesticides) and that are flavored. I'm going back to my previous habit of turning down coffee unless it is organic.
In addition I will mostly if not totally eliminate foods most known for aggravating psoriasis, including a couple of my favorites -- tomatoes, eggplant and all types of peppers including non-hot bell peppers (though as I mentioned above I will probably put a little of the pepper powder in my hummus).
