Hi, I'm 44 and have been lifting weights for over 25 years. I have recently concentrated more on lifting heavier as I'm at the point where I could compete.
I get joint niggles, and wonder if this anything to be concerned about. I look up joint pain, but the trouble is no site explains the nature of the joint pain they are talking about. It's all labelled as one thing. What I get is occasional fleeting pinching sensations, they are not there all the time, and I don't have inflamation. I get them in my elbows and wrists, its not very painful, just uncomfortable at times, like I said, its not constant joint pain, its a pinching or slight stabbing sensation not over the entire joint.
In my wrist for example the pinch discomfort could be confined to an area of 1 cm close to the wrists surface on the palm side of the wrist. With my elbow its again, a small area of pinch within the joint. There is no constant discomfort. Could this be anything to be concerned about? How can I check if this is wear (if it is) for sure, or just something, that needs some rest and I can continue. I take Glucosamine, Cod Liver Oil and Calcium, Hyaluronic Acid, Chondroitin, and Omega-3.
Thanks in advance!
