cry  What does blood work usually look like for a person with osteo.  How do they know I have it.  I dont ever swell.  My elbows and knees and wrists and back all ache when I have a flare.  Elbow and wrists and the main thing right now.  I have the positive ANA 1:80 speckled, but docs always say I don't show any inflamation.  I have WBC of 4.1 and MCH of 31.1, RDW 11.7 and Lymphs absolute count 1.2.  Nothing stands out.  smhair

People with osteoarthritis [OA] usually do NOT have any blood test abnormalities. If the person has another disease, that could cause blood level abnormalities. Xrays are the normal diagnostic tool used to determine OA. On an xray, someone with OA will have very different damage in the joint than someone say with rheumatoid arthritis.

From your other post I know you are concerned about the positive ANA. I can't recall if you were diagnosed by your GP or a rheumatologist. If you haven;t seen a rheumatologist, then get evaluated by one. If that is who told you your diagnosis, then gp to a different one for a second opinion.
