Pain in upper arms caused by arthritis

I have been diagnozed with arthritis in my neck and vertebrae. I have been through 5 steroid injections so far but they are not working.  My pain is in my upper arms. Really hard to sleep and bother me sometimes during the day. The doctor put me on neuronton, but they makes me depressed (which is one of the side effects). I have been to physical therapy with no results. Tomorrow I am going to try cold laser therapy, but not sure if that will work.

Please, does anyone have any suggestions for me. I have been dealing with this for two years, and I am really frustrated.

I have not seen a rheumatologist yet for this condition. They have all been orthopedists. Maybe that should be my next course of action. I did go for the cold laser treatment today. Maybe it will work.

Thank you for your information on the cold laser treatments. I did have the one so far and will go again Friday for another. I don't have stiffness in the morning, just the pain in my upper arms. I truly hope this works. I don't know where else to turn.

I dont' have an answer to your questino, but just saying that you're not alone.  I get inflammation of the joints, and the past 6 months or so my bicep/shoulder area has been really aching at night...esp if my arm is bent.  And like you, sometimes it hurts in the day too.  I mentioned to my rheumy at my last appointment and he said it's probably tenditinitis, but we didn't focus on it and had no solution.  Hope you can get some relief.
