is there anything better than celebrex???

my poor hubby is filled with osteoarthritis...his shoulders, hands, knees,ankles, back..He has been to arthritis specialists and surgeons..He was advised not to get shoulder replacement until he can no longer move his shoulder..he was on 2 arthritis strength tabs 3 times a day and 1.. 500mgs of celebrex twice a day..it did nothing to help the pain

doc put him off celebrex and on tylenol3 ..3 times a day..still no relief..he is icing and heating joints in fingers ..knuckle joints are swollen and huge creating wicked pain..

has anyone had any pain relief with anything other than i mentioned???

I too have the same issues 3 rt knee replacements 1 left knee replacement rt shoulder scoped.Been on celebrex 200mg 1 aday percocet 7.5 5 a day for all the pain im in he might have to try something stronger celebrex is not helping me.take care J C

Tramadol and gabapentin help me with my joint pains.

Sometimes when one NSAID doesn't work, another will. Has your husband tried ibuprofen, naproxyn, mobic or any others? I'm currently taking Mobic and tylenol, with Tramadol for breakthrough pain. I also use a muscle relaxant as needed for when muscles go into spasm due to the pain.
