I'm 24 years old with a knee that's 50 years old... cry
My doctor said its because I had 5 knee surgeries (first two are from a different doctor this bad doctor messed up on my ACL surgery)
My doctor now(who is sooooo much better) fixed it but I will now always have problems. Next week I'm getting my first Supartz gel injection, out of 5. This better doctor said NO WAY! Am I getting a knee replacement its completely out of the question.

I feel like I'm the only 20 something with this kind of pain, and I'm hoping with these injections, I'll feel somewhat or a lot better!
Has anyone had relief or bad side effects of these injections?

Hi LuckyThirteen and welcome to this forum. This is a wonderful place for great information and support.

I also have osteoarthiritis of the spine. From what I read on Web MD this seems to have had very good results with very little side affects. It is specifically used for osteoarthiritis of the knee but can be used on other joints.

Hopefully someone will come along who has used this and give you some results. So sorry you are having these knee problems at such a young age. Good luck and post back with your results. Hope you get relief.

PS Your doctor is so right. You should not have surgery. I feel that would only make matters worse

LuckyThirteen. One other thing you also might try posting on the Chronic Pain site. There are a lot of people on this site and maybe someone has tried these injections. Sounds like you are having chronic pain. Just a suggestion. This site is very helpful with a lot of different things. Everyone is really nice.

Hello Lucky, I also have had Supartz injections after surgery on both knees. It took a while before I could really tell if it was helping or not & it did. My dr sprayed my knees with a cold numbing agent when doing the injections & it helped so much.

I hope that you get good results too with Supartz.
