I had one steroid injection in my right hip (required by insurance before they would replace it). If hard labor was an 8/10, this was more like a 5/10, and it lasted about a minute. It was sore for about 2 days and then the pain relief for me lasted 3 weeks. I had a PRP in the left hip which set up a nice inflammatory response after about two weeks which increased my pain dramatically - which did not go away. I do not recommend these, and there is no evidence that they work anyway - but hey. I have had both hips replaced and I highly recommend it.
