I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.
When my doctor diagnosed me with osteoarthritis, she commented that the regular cortisone shots that I took for eczema as a child, through my early twenties, contributed to my joint pain. Apparently is was an unknown side effect back then. SWEET! I was getting varying quantities of cortizone each month for a couple of years, then went to 4 times a year for about
another 5 years or so. I guess since it's technically classified as a steroid, it can have multiple side effects.
We're talking about
treatments, and it's a shame we're not talking about
cures. Being in constant pain is not fun, and frankly it just wears you out.
I've got knee, hip and back issues related to my OA.
I would say be careful with the steroids....
