I've been having trouble with my right shoulder for a while now and the problem has been getting worse. A couple months ago I went and saw my sports trainer and he said the muscles in my back/shoulder area are just tense or something like that, well I just went back about a week ago because my shoulder had been hurting a lot more and I am able to parcially slide it out of place. It slide out about 20-60 times a day and it doesn't hurt to slide out, but lifting my arms hurts and it seems weak. I went to my trainer again and he said I just have shoulder instability and i might want to go have a doc look at it.
I've done a good share of research and I learned that I do have shoulder instability and a sulcus sign? But I don't know what that is. Based on what I have told you should I suck it up? Or go see a doc and if I see a doc do you think I will have to get sugrey?

When in doubt, see the doc. Yes I think you should see your doctor because that does not sound normal. It may not hurt now but it may end up doing so eventually.

Thank you very much, I guess I am just scared that I might need sugrey, but if that makes it better I will have any operation I need.

Arthroscopic shoulder surgery isn't bad at all. My doctor used a nerve block in addition to the usual pain control, and it helped a lot. Then icing was key after I got home. Mine was done as an outpatient, and I was back to work in a few days.
Please don't wait. Structural problems - which are very common because of the ways we use our shoulders - don't get better with neglect. And remember, there's always a chance you won't need surgery. See a good orthopedic doctor and find out what's going on.

Yes, see a doctor - whatever the problem, it won't get better by waiting!
Keep us posted.

I agree I think you really should be seeing a good ortho doc to get an accurate diagnosis. Good luck and keep us posted.

It is better to know what exactly is happening then to live in anxiety so I agree, see an orthopedic.
Let us know what you find out.
Kindly,
