Pain On The Inside Of Thigh And Pain That Traves From Left Side Of Spine Around To Left Hip

I am waiting for the results of my MRI. I see the doctor in a week or so. My ortho ordered the MRI because he is probably going to remove the bursa in my left hip. It is not responding to steriod shots anymore. He thinks there may be some problems in my hip and he could "clean out" my hip at the same time he removes the bursa if this is true.

Since my appointment I have experienced some weird things. One day, I could  not turn from the waist and look over my shoulder w/o a sharp pain shooting down the inside of my thigh and my leg buckleing beneath me.  Yesterday, I had a pain that ran underdeath my left buttock. Strange!  Sometimes I have a pain that wraps around from the left side of my spine to my left hip. All these things come and go.

Last night I had trouble sleeping because the pain was in my hip, my left knee was "screaming", and the top of my left foot hurt.  My ortho's NP things some of this could be coming from my back.  I do have severe osteoarthritis just about everywhere.

I know you all are not doctors.  Just wondering if any of you have experienced this type of pain.

Well, I'm dealing with bursitis flareups in both hips right now and I'm going to therapy.  They're using both ultrasound therapy and having me do certain exercises.  I was taking an anti-inflammatory which did nothing.  The past two times (years ago)when I had bouts of this I got the cortisone shots and the bursitis went away.  Now, years later it's back.  It's been a week and it's only mildly improved.  I also sometimes get shooting pains or aches down to the knees and in the shins but they don't last long.  I don't know why they crop up there, sympathetic pain?   I didn't know they could remove the bursa sacs.  I wish I could have them just taken out!  Good luck to you, Vannie.  I hope you get some relief.
