hi...i have a VERY BAD ankle and they gave me a balloon like strip to exercise with. it is called thera-band. they also recommend I take a very small ball and push it up and down while sitting. I do balance exercises, go up on my toes, etc. (all this is very limited - sets of ten only.)
Maybe you could go to the library and check out some books on the subject. Of course it would be best to see a pro but not all of them are good...so BE CAREFUL they don't push you too far.
I am also trying to lose weight and hope the northeast heat waves (don't like the heat) will wipe out my appetite as they did last year.
