I had my appointment with my new rheumatologist yesterday.  She has a good reputation, a great educational background, and I like her.  The appointment took over an hour, and she spent most of that time with me.  Diagnosis:  Seronegative RA.  I also have OA and Fibro.  At least now I  know I'm not crazy.  I used to doubt myself...how could virtually every joint in my body hurt?  I now have the answer, and will start MTX soon.

Hope the MTX does the trick for you. I know alot of folks have had success with their joint pain issues using MTX. Be sure the doc gives you a Folic Acid supplement to take with it, as the MTX drains the folic acid from your body. Hugs!

o vannie i hope you feel better. did you know there is an rheumatoid forum you might get some more info? always feel you can be with us though. i have not been back to chronic pain because i also felt kind of like a fifth wheel there.

You are not crazy and never will be.  Although we sometimes feel like things are all in our minds when we have physical sx.

My hubby has Crohn's Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.  He started on MTX in February and is tolerating it well.  It is a med that should cover his Crohn's and his arthritis.  So far it is helping.

I wish you the best of luck with this new med.  He has to have his blood drawn once a month and see his rheumatologist every couple of months unless something comes up.

He also takes RX 1 mg of Folic acid per day.

What doe Seronegative RA mean? Is this different than when they just diagnose you w/ RA?
