Seronegative RA

Seronegative means I don't test positive fore the Rheumatoid Factor in my blood, but I do have RA.  Acutally, right now I have swelling my my knees, ankles, elbows, wrists and hands.

Joan...I do post on the RA sector of this site from time to time.  Just like to check in with you all once in a while.

I don't read much on the Chronic Pain site, either.  I , too, felt like a fifth wheel.

Good to "talk" to you Joan. I see you are still struggling with your ankle/foot??? How is your rehab going? I was thinking about you and wondering if riding a bicycle could help you strengthen your muscles and keep your weight off of your feet while you are healing. Would that be something you could try, or would that be too much right now?

Your friend is right. The pain of RA can be so, so bad. The fatigue can be pretty bad, too. Flares are the worst. But.....I am not giving up or giving in. I am going to work with my new doc, a woman, and find the best meds for me. I really like this rheumatologist. She is great, and so is my orthopedic surgeon. I have OA now caused by the inflammtion of the RA and joint degeneraltion. Oh, well. Onward and upward, my friend. It has only taken me ten years to find two good docs! LOL
