Hi everyone,

  My FMLA was up last week and my Dr. released me for general work with a lot of restrictions but said I couldn't do MY job so I was terminated. I was there for 30 years. I now am without an income. shakehead

Please apply for unemployment benies over the internet and then that will get you started. It takes weeks to get a check. or a deniel.

Good luck , I think you would be eligilble unless your employer puts the clinchers to it.

I am sorry to read this also.  I agree with the others - do get the ball rolling on applying for benefits.  Coming here and venting is a good thing and know we are open 24/7 so you are never alone.

It turns out that the day before I was terminated the head of benefits put in for long term disability for my. I am waiting to hear back from them.

I hope you get it! But another thought is to apply for Social Security Disability. And if your state has it, apply for short term disability with them. I live in Calif and I can get that for one year. Hope my SSDI comes thru before my year is up!

Thats good that they applied for your disability! Hope you get it and of so that alone will releive a lot of stress!!!
