Hi,
I had knee microfracture 4/20/2012. I didn't realize when I went in for the surgery that I needed microfracture, and I really didn't know that I would not be able to stand or walk on that leg for six weeks. Anyway, it has been two weeks, and I already have full ROM. Also, the swelling is almost all gone. My knee is beginning to look normal again. I see the doctor this week for my first followup. I am using the CPM six to eight hours a day. I have searched and searched the internet for the past 2 weeks for others experiences of microfracture. There isn't a whole lot out there, and what is out is usally a horror story of what went wrong. I need to know someone's experience of successful microfracture. I am wondering if having full ROM already and slight swelling is good sign. My knee will swell if I am up on it too much, but other than that it's good. I am not having much pain at all except when it swells or when I have been out and about too much. I have fallen several times, and landed on that leg. I hope I didn't mess things up. I didn't fall down just enough to catch myself. Any stories would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much,
Wendy
