You need to find an ortho who will take your insurance. If you can't get in quickly, and urgent care or emergency room visit would be appropriate.

Well the sad fact is that more knee replacements or more meds, is not the solution to the problem. Your knee needs to be rebuilt. Just dropped in a bit late in this conversation. TKR is always painful and takes time to recover from major surgery. Even with all the positive things in rehab & a good attitude there's always a risk. I am sorry to hear u have nerve damage. Have u seen a Nuero surgeon?

I have THR both hips and both knees need replacement . One hip joint was recalled less than 3 months after implantation. Had to have a revision. Not a pleasant experience but whadda do???

My knees have OA for years & THR made them worse.

For now I am wearing MBT shoes designed for arthritis, available on line, or u might have a location near u for a test drive. They are designed to take the tremendous pressure and jolt out of each step, like walking on sand. Saving the pressure & joint pain.

I swear by them... They are a bit tricky to walk in at first. I have had THR on both hips and OA & torn meniscus in knees. These shoes help take the pressure per square inch off the joints from each step it's such a relief. It simulates like walking on sand.opps already said that...

I have worn them for 16 years off and on when my joints start to get extremely painful. I'm in my 60's.

These shoes are we'll...ugly and not stylish. I have Planterfaciatis in both feet and Morton's nerve in my left foot.
And comfort forgoes style in my case anyway. But over the years the shoe designs have gotten a little better.

I wore the sandals thru Yellowstone three summers ago when I could not stand or walk at all on my right knee. These shoes are a whole new way of walking and relief without pain or drugs. Even wore the sandals to Hawaii visit 3 islands and many gardens. A ton of walking & no pain meds just OTC meds.

Goodness I hope this doesn't come off as a sales deal. U can check out my bio. I've been here a long time. It's just my personal experience with these shoes. And I want to share my experience with u. As ugly as they are I really don't care. Walking in comfort means more to me in the long run.

It beats shots in the feet and knees that don't work and even after new joints. Every case is different it's only a suggestion to help anyone interested in finding relief. I've been in the same painful place for years until I found these shoes that made the difference. I don't know why docs don't recommend them.

I will need TKR soon, until then this is my experience for arthritis
in my feet and ALL my joints, to find pain relief for me.

So if anyone has time & with arthritis in joints or feet or both just check out or google MBT shoes. Try a pair you'll be glad u did. I know I sound a bit compulsive, sorry to make it seem that way.

They are not cheap but far worth it considering knees , foot issues and joints all show improvement after wearing these rocker like walking on sand shoes. Then once they have regained strength and healed, I return to my normal shoes with inserts for plantarfaciatis.
