Pain in whole hands incl. fingers and nails

Hi All.

I have Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis for many years. Lately I have been suffering greatly with extreme pain and stiffness in my whole hands including tips of fingers and nails. This is a new symptom for me and I'm finding it very stressful trying to cope with it.

Is there anyone out there in the same situation and have you found any solution to the problem.

I have Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis like you. My hands hurt terribly. Especially the thumbs. My doctor just ordered some Voltaren Gel for them. Not sure if it will work, but he must have thought it was worth a try.

Are you taking meds for Osteoporosis? I refused after reading up on them. Life is scary isnt it!

Thanks for your response to my post. I'm guessing, because there are so many people viewing the post and only one response, that our condition is not a common one. I am on so many meds for various things that I have given up keeping track of what I'm on atm.
I will ask my doc about Voltaren Gel next time I visit. I hope things improve for both of us. It is difficult putting a brave face on everyday. Regards, Maaggie

I have osteoarthritis in my fingers/hands and I get a lot of pain in them. I do also get pain in the tips of my fingers and it feels like shooting pain. Some days it is worse than others but it is so hard because we need our hands to do so much.

I do also wake up with stiffness in my fingers. At least during the day I can keep them moving so they do not get stiff.
