Distal bicep tendon tare according to MRI???

Had some bicep and forearm pain for quite some time that didn't seem to completely subside. OS decided to have MRI order with complete tare and 10cm retraction. Surgery recommended ASAP. The tare probably happened as a result of stationary bike work outs, 7 days a week. I.E. overuse injury.

I now use the bike with no arms which has all but eliminated all pain in both forearm and bicep. I have cut way back on bicep curls and am starting to increase weight with no pain.

I am beginning to doubt the MRI but my limited research says MRIs are very accurate.

Please share your views on MRI accuracy and/or your similar distal bicep tare issues.

Hello Browntrout, wanted to let you know what I have researched here in the archives. I found a few old threads about shoulder issues but I don't think they will be of much benefit to you. However, Aron-A in the PC forum posted about some of this in July. I believe he had some repair work done. You may want to post in the PC forum & see what kind of feedback you get from him.
Ask the drs office for a copy of the written report of the MRI.
