Hi
Osteoporosis means a person has brittle bones and break easily. This isn’t what you have per your Dr. and testing.
You have Osteoarthritis in your knees. Overtime you lose cartilage which is cushioning for your knees. Losing cartilage means the knee movement is now bone on bone. This process is progressive and pain will get worse. Without knee replacement your pain and your ability to walk gets worse.
You can do corticosteroid injections in you knees. This is only allowable once every three months. At some point even those injections stop helping your pain as the Osteoarthritis progresses.
In the end your choice is to have knee replacement or lose you quality of life.
